Newspaper photographer "Lens" Crockett stumbled on a murder case and got
beaten up by the crooks. Vowing revenge, he found a fancy dress costume
in the newspaper office stock room and used it to fight crime as the
Nightbird. He had no powers but he had a good right hook.
